Decorating the Mantle

I'm linking up with Kelly's blog today to show my mantle decor. If this is your first time stopping by, welcome! You can see more of my home here: the living room, the kitchen, the dining area, and Jack's room.

Confession: my mantle stayed bare and empty for probably at least 2 of the 5 years we've lived in this house. I had a hard time finding something that I liked, and I'd rather things (walls, mantles, etc.) be left empty until I find what I want.

Here is how she looks on a normal day like today.

Here is how she looked last weekend for a wedding shower.

And here it was a couple of years ago during Fall.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I know I've said it before, but I love your mantle! I'm still in the thinking stage on ours, so it might just be bare until Christmas.

    1. I completely understand. It took me forever to decide what I wanted, and I don't even know how I came up with it. I keep thinking maybe the lanterns on each end don't exactly go, but I splurged on them from Pottery Barn so THEY STAY. ;)

  2. I love your mantle! Did you make the monogram frame yourself? Visiting from Kelly's Korner.

  4. I love your mantle-- especially that monogram! SO cute! Our mantle just has tile around it, and I wish it had the brick like yours-- looks a lot more southern chic that way :)
