Fall Weekending

Weekends have become such a sweet time to have Mr. G home now that I'm a full time homemaker. And I don't mean that in a, "Here! You take 'em now!" type of way. No, instead, it's a great time of Daddy being home to play with us. It excites our son so much to see his dad come through the door on Friday, and it's hard not to catch the excitement!

This weekend we made a quick overnight trip to see my family. My brother was off on Friday, my aunt was in town, and of course we got to see my grandparents and parents too. Lots of family packed into a less than 24 hour trip. A huge blessing!

My mom made a flying trip to Canton the weekend before to grab some metal orange Halloween buckets for Jack and Annabelle. I thought I bought one for Jack a couple of years ago and just needed another for Annabelle, but when I went to pull it out, it just said "The Gentrys." (Pictured here.) I have no idea what I was thinking. I was convinced that I bought one for him, but clearly not. I'm attributing that to combined pregnancy/new mommy brain shrinkage. How long can one reasonably continue to use that excuse? Either way, we're all fixed up now, thanks to Sugar. Halloween crisis averted.

It came a gully washer while we were there, and ultimately my car got stuck just off of my grandparents' driveway. I'd say it was quite an adventure, but by the time my dad pulled us out, the kiddos were already asleep.

After a quick trip home, a ridiculous Aggie football win, and church on Sunday, here we are, back at another Monday. I hope you have a great week!
