Back to Life!

Hello and howdy! I have missed being on here so much! I have a million starred posts in my Reader to go back and leave comments on. But let me tell you that I now know a ton of Olympic trivia and have barely missed a US gold medal ceremony while all the radio silence has been going on here.

Jack's usual caregiver was on vacation last week, so we had grandparents in to save the day. My mom showed up with this cozy coupe, and my sweet boy has climbed in and climbed out. And climbed in. And climbed out. So far he has mastered reverse, and we're working on forward. He loves being pushed in it, for sure. As soon as we stop he says (in a darling, can hardly-say-no-to-voice) "'gin?"

He is super, super sweet these days. Even Mr. G has added the word "adorable" to his vocabulary.

But anyway, to what I've been up to! Working. Parenting. Keeping my house clean. Olympic watching. Trying to stay cool in 100 degree heat. Playing with friends. Planning out the rest of my vacation days for 2012. Meeting high school...nay, church nursery friends for lunch and introducing them to my boy, and visiting family. It has been a lazy, blessed summer, and one that I'm not likely to forget anytime soon.

And it just so happens to be my birthday month, which I have been celebrating pretty much since August 1st. I love birthdays!

  2. So glad you're back! Love the cozy coupe! We bought one for our cousin's first birthday back in April and love all the pictures his momma sends of him enjoying it. Is it just me or are they smaller than they used to be? I clearly remember fitting into my brother's as a teenager.

Oh and happy birthday month! I too enjoy that tradition!

  4. Happy birthday month!

Aren't those sweet phases the best? Not that they aren't always sweet, but you know what I mean - it does a mama's heart good.

That Cozy Coupe is a popular ride in our house as well - fun seeing your J enjoy it as well.

  5. Congrats on baby #2! So exciting! I hope you've turned the corner too. I'm worried that when I get pregnant again I'll have really bad nausea because I basically skipped it with #1. Happy birthday too!
