Present Moment, Wonderful Moment.

This past weekend I journeyed west with some other young ladies with whom I have rich history. For the most part, we all met at our college church home--Central Baptist Church in Bryan--during the early weeks of our freshman year. For all purposes of practicality, I proclaimed this past weekend to be the 11th year of our friendships.

As we are all beginning to reach a milestone age, we decided to take a trip of rest and relaxation including, but not limited to: sunbathing, spa-dwelling, shopping until our feet hurt, eating, and of course the best part--spending time together since we are spread to the four winds throughout the great state of Texas.

The organizationally talented Mrs. Gaither managed to find a perfect spot for this merriment--Scottsdale, Arizona. We lounged at the Fairmont Scottsdale where I experienced my very first (and definitely not last) massage and facial. One day was spent at the spa, another day at Fashion Square Mall with a lap through old town Scottsdale, and another of yoga and leisurely laying around the pool. For the first time in my life, I came home pink and not sunburned. Perhaps I am finally growing up.

I came home rested and relaxed, and ready to see my man. Gosh, I love him.
